I found this site looking for more information on the story line of Crouching Tiger hidden Dragon. It breaks down all of the main characters and some of the character motivations. I think that this movie falls into the category that in order to be really appreciated requires a better understanding of the folk history and super hero status associated with its characters. I think that this might be why it was hard for me to accept all the flying around that they did. But the matrix was similar if not more amazing they just presented it in a way that was more acceptable to U.S. audiences. Toward the end of the article the author observes that that Hong cong film making is different from U.S. but that it still follows patterns and formats.
